Only the animals in the petting farm and lorikeets can be fed, with food provided by the park.
Most of the park’s animals were born in captivity, either with us or in other zoos or breeding centers. Some come from administrative seizures or animals that cannot be reintroduced into the wild.
Feeding follows the natural rhythm of the species:
- Birds & primates → fed daily
- Felines → fed 3 to 4 times a week, in accordance with their biological needs.
We do not give live prey to felines, for ethical reasons. However, they may occasionally hunt birds or small animals naturally present in the park’s environment.
No physical interaction is offered with our wild animals (felines, baby animals, etc.). They are only handled if necessary by the animal care team.
The possession of felines or primates is heavily regulated and subject to obtaining a certificate of capacity. Illegal possession is punishable by up to 10 years in prison and €50,000 in fines.
Reintroduction of endangered species is one of our missions. However, it is complex for large predators. Our animals play an essential role in raising public awareness and preserving genetic diversity.
The Lumigny Safari Reserve parking lot is closed at night, but the Terre de Singes circuit parking remains accessible. Please note that it has no dedicated infrastructure (waste disposal, water, electricity).
