Miniature Shetland Pony

The Miniature Shetland is a miniature pony originating from the Shetland Islands, located north of Scotland. It belongs to the equine family and is a smaller version of the classic Shetland pony, while retaining the same robust characteristics.

This pony is distinguished by its reduced size, generally measuring less than 87 cm at the withers, making it one of the smallest equines in the world. Its mane and tail are thick and full, often left long to accentuate its tufted appearance.

The coat of the Miniature Shetland can be any color that exists in horses, including black, bay, chestnut, pied or even isabelle.
